Lincoln Crossing's Soha honored

At the conclusion of each school year, the Placer County Office of Education highlights individuals who exemplify the best in education. That honor also applies to those individuals who aren't in the front of the classroom but nevertheless contribute to the betterment of student's future. Recently, Placer County Office of Education awarded Lincoln Crossing Elementary School secretary Pam Soha with the Office and Technical Employee of the Year award. Soha said the award caught her by surprise because of the many wonderful and very proficient secretaries honored at the Placer County Office of Education event. "I am very humbled to have been chosen as the Office Employee of the Year for Placer County," Soha said. "Working as a secretary for Western Placer Unified School District has been such a rewarding experience and I am grateful for the friendships I have made, not only with the adults but with the many children I have been able to help through my 25 years in the district. They are the reason we are here. I can't say enough about how wonderful and sweet they truly are." Among those honored this year, Soha was the only employee from a Lincoln-based school to take home an award. In a press release issued by the Placer County Office of Education, Superintendent Garbolino-Mojica noted the collective effort that it takes to make a difference in a child's future. "It takes an entire school community to ensure our students are ready for college, career and life,"Garbolino-Mojicasaid. "As the Placer County Superintendent of Schools, I am honored to recognize these amazing individuals for their commitment and contribution in making Placer County gold in education."
