Menezes, Murphy among 12 all-league players for Vista

With a 4-1 overall record, including 3-1 in the Capital Athletic League, Vista del Lago's varsity football team had three major award winners and placed 12 players on the all-league team. Ethan Menezes earned the Most Valuable Player Award, as the Vista running back had an outstanding season, not to mention a career. Capping off Vista's major award winners, Mike Struebing won the Coach of the Year honors. Besides Menezes and Murphy, Vista had 10 other all-league performers. Edwards made it as quarterback, as he completed 59-of-88 passes for 1,179 yards and 13 touchdowns. Edwards also rushed for 64 yards and two touchdowns. Seniors Blake Harville and Noah Case earned all-league honors as offensive linemen, joining Murphy. Vista's other two offensive players on the team were senior receivers Erik Johnson and Carson King.
