Bayside Church soccer facility opening Oct. 19

Bayside Church is hosting a free grand opening of a new state-of-the-art soccer facility this Thursday, Oct. 19, at 5:30 p.m. at Bayside Church in Roseville, 8191 Sierra College Blvd., according to a press release. "If you're a soccer parent, you know how difficult it is to find a place for kids to play or practice," said the press release. "And, for Placer County residents, the situation is only getting worse." It's this reasoning why Bayside Church spent "millions of dollars" to build a new soccer facility "dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and families in Placer County." The soccer facility will include three fields: a championship field and two practice fields. The facility includes amenities such as "a vibrant playing surface made of premium artificial turf, ideal for kids to play year-round regardless of weather conditions, lights so kids can practice in the evenings – especially during winter months, and a first-class sporting experience with a comfortable seating area for spectators," said the press release. The facility intends to host 1,500 soccer players, 450 of which are competitive and 1,050 who are recreational. The facility was created with all skill levels in mind, so soccer players from beginners to advanced are welcome. The facility intends to host a variety of events, such as youth programs, league matches, friendly games and other community-focused events to promote "social interaction and healthy competition," according to the press release. "Bayside Soccer Fields will be a place where family memories are made, friendships are formed, and a lifelong love for sports is nurtured," said the press release. "We invite you to experience the joy of playing and being part of this vibrant community!"
