Lester Chambers-led Moonalice makes long-awaited return to Auburn

Moonalice returns to Auburn for a very special show this Friday, Dec. 1. Who would have thought it would be more than four years until Moonalice would be able to return to Auburn's Foothill Fillmore? This certainly was not the plan, as a combination of the pandemic and timing necessitated this sabbatical. That said, during that time, Moonalice has been playing outdoor shows, honing their skills, releasing records, making videos and more. This show is lining up to be a true spectacular in all senses of the word. A Moonalice show is hard to explain. They combine a variety of styles with an amazing collection of vocalists and musicians and an amazing light show. The band includes the legendary Lester Chambers from 1960s chart busters the Chambers Brothers (Time Has Come Today, People Get Ready) and the sweet vocals of the T Sisters, musicians representing the likes of Bob Weir and The Wolf Brothers, Jefferson Starship, Bruce Hornsby & The Range and more). Be prepared to dance the night away with some funky, soulful rock and roll, and be blown away with amazing harmonies. As a special treat for this show, Moonalice is bringing the world-renowned Mad Alchemy Liquid Lighting. Their light shows truly must be seen to understand why folks are so enamored by what they do. Adding to the fun will be recording artists Wreckless Strangers, another star-studded collection of performers who combine their experience to bring a sound that is both refreshing and familiar, and for sure danceable. Soul, blues, funk and Americana are just a few of the genres they draw from to bring their unique sounds to the stage of the Odd Fellows Lodge. Do not be late, this band will start shortly after the doors open at 6:30 p.m. Shows at the Odd Fellows Lodge, also known as the Foothill Fillmore, have become legendary with their amazing light shows, incredible sound system and the best in touring bands around. This night will be no exception. Don't forget your ID, as the show is 21 and over. The Odd Fellows have a full bar as well as craft beer, Kombucha and a selection of snacks. Also know this is a dance concert, and very limited seating is reserved for ADA folks on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets are available locally at Cherry Records, Clock Tower Records, Tribal Weaver and Yabobo. For online tickets and additional information, visit www.keepsmilinpromotions.com.
