Grandparents Day with Summerset Senior Living

Wisdom, wit and a few scoops of ice cream from the grandparents of Summerset. At Summerset Senior Living, our grandparents know a thing or two about life, love and a good scoop of ice cream. For Grandparents Day, we asked a few of them to share their hot takes – no filters, just truth. Bea: "Grandkids today have it easy. Back then, we played outside, got in trouble and lived a little. My favorite part of being a grandma? Ice cream. Always ice cream. And Elvis? Not for me like the kids assume." Bill: "Parenthood was tough, but grandma kept everyone in control – and we all survived. My best advice? Get an education. It's the key to everything." Kathy: "Grandma knows best – we spoil them and send them back! Kids today can't live without their phones, but give me suspenders and patched-up pants any day. Today's fashion? No thanks. Music, though – I'll take Frank Sinatra, Perry Como and yes, Kelly Clarkson, too." Connie & Julian: "We just love each other. And nothing beats dancing the cha cha cha with the grandkids. Music today? Better than ever. Our advice to the grandkids? Go to school, be nice, and travel." From ice cream runs to dance floors, these grandparents prove one thing: Love (and a little spoiling) never goes out of style. Happy Grandparents Day from Summerset Senior Living!
