Roseville honors veterans with Wall of Honor

The city of Roseville began honoring Veterans Day early, on Nov. 3, with an exhibit called the Wall of Honor. The exhibit will be up throughout the month and is a tribute to those who have served or continue to serve the country. The display is at the Mahany Fitness Center in the Mahany Shellito Indoor Pool and the Maidu Community Center. The exhibit includes the Wall of Honor and a donation collection supporting active-duty service members. City officials offer advice and recommendations on donations that would be helpful in directly supporting our troops: * Essentials: Sunblock, socks, underwear and lip balm/ * Snacks: Non-perishable treats like chips, salsa, nuts, cookies, beef jerky, non-melting candy and trail mix (sturdy packaging preferred). * Drinks: Single-serving drink mix packets. Community members can pay tribute to veterans at the Wall of Honor, a living display of photos, biographies and names of local veterans. There are rotating veteran profiles, a donation box and place to leave thank-you cards.
