Lincoln Chamber Tree Lighting, Parade is back

The 2025 Lincoln Chamber Tree Lighting and Parade is almost here. Here is the schedule for the event: Thursday, Dec. 4: Christmas Tree Lighting The event starts at 5 p.m. in Beermann Plaza with more than 50 artisan craft and food vendors. At 6 p.m. on the stage in Beermann Plaza, the First Street School and Carlin C. Coppin choirs will performed, followed by the Legacy Community and Lincoln Highschool Choirs. At 7 p.m. the Lincoln City Council will do the countdown for the tree lighting. Immediately following the tree lighting, Santa and Sparkles the Elf will again be on stage greeting the children. The event is planned to wrap up at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6: Hometown Christmas Parade The parade will begin at 5 p.m. sharp. Parade entries will begin checking in at 3 p.m. at the corner of F and McBean Parkway and must be in their staging area by 4:30. The parade once again will start at 5th and B streets and head right downtown and turn right onto F street. It will continue down F and turn right onto 6th street by City Hall and proceed down 6th to A street, where all the entries will exit at A and McBean Parkway. There will be ADA parking and seating at the corner of 6th and F streets at the Art League with ADA parking only in the city parking lot and down F street from 6th to 7th. The Lincoln Chamber is still looking for volunteers to walk in the parade as a block captain or watch a barricade; it's a front row seat in the parade and a lot of fun. For more info on volunteering contact the Lincoln Chamber at 916-645-2035.
