Perviers love each other, always

The words to their song, "I'll be loving you always," rang true as Evelyn and Bill Pervier celebrated their 60th anniversary. Married Sept. 2, 1946 following his service in the U.S. Navy, the Perviers have always been a romantic couple. They did not want this anniversary to be any exception so they had some 30 friends and family to their home for a dinner party complete with champagne toasts, cake and a corsage for "the bride." Bill related the story of how they met when he was on leave and he knew immediately she was the one. Their son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Cheryl Pervier of Austin, Texas, hosted the party along with the Perviers' daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Bruce Muff of Auburn. Grandchildren Nancy and Elliot Svensson of Piedmont, Steve Muff, a Biola senior, and Eric Muff, a Cal Poly freshman were all in attendance. Special guests also included one of Evelyn's bridesmaids, Barbara (Pylman) McWard and husband Ray of Cupertino, as well as cousins, Marshal and Yvonne Pylman of Clarksburg.
