Hospital gets medical director

Mark Knoble, M.D. has been named medical director of Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital's Visiting Nurses Association and Hospice, according to a Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital press release.The Visiting Nurses Association provides home care for patients recovering at home from various medical conditions, surgery or illness. Hospice provides end-of-life care, affirming life and emphasizing quality of life.Dr. Knoble, board certified in family medicine, serves as a primary-care physician for Sutter Medical Group and also has official hospital duties. He will continue his practice and his role as chairman of the Physician Health Committee at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital. In his role of medical director, Dr. Knoble will over see medical care provided to both nursing association and hospice patients to ensure that each patient receives all the medically indicated services needed.Dr. Knoble earned his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Medicine, and completed his family practice residency at Stanislaus Medical Center in Modesto. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Placer-Nevada County Medical Society and the California Medical Association.His professional interests include emphasis in geriatrics, palliative care and chronic pain.
