Junior Marques Caesar belted a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning to give the Del Oro baseball team a 7-6 win over visiting Oak Ridge in a nonleague game Thursday.Caesar, who also had a single earlier in the game, gave the Golden Eagles (1-1) their first lead with his bash, and the game was stopped in the top of the seventh inning because of darkness.Chris Webber led Del Oro?s 12-hit barrage with a 3-for-4 day that included an RBI-single and RBI double. Mike Lunsford was 2-for-2, Ryan Cagle 1-for-1 with an RBI-sac fly and walk, and George Hernandez 1-for-1 with a double.Mike Brown also doubled, and Jacob Perez and Shawn Zorio each had a single for the Eagles.Junior relief pitcher Jason Boberg threw all of the fifth and sixth innings to earn the win, allowing one unearned run, no hits and a walk while striking out three.Starter Hernandez, fighting the flu, allowed a three-run homer with no outs in the first inning before allowing one run in the second after a leadoff walk. Caesar worked the third and fourth frames, yielding one run.?We have nine pitchers and we?ve had two nonleague games to find out where they?re at,? Robert Kalman pitched the seventh and was hurt by an error that helped the Spartans? cause. Kalman knocked in two runs with a double. Marc Corro went 2-for-4 with one RBI for Colfax.
