Wilma Monroe

Wilma M. Monroe died Sept. 29, 2003 in Auburn. She was born in Decauter County, Kansas, on Dec. 13, 1916, and had lived in Auburn for the last 30 years of her life. She was a member of the Parkside Church of the Nazarene for 30 years.Mrs. Monroe was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Monroe; her daughter, Delores Hutchinson; and one grandchild. She is survived by her children: Bud Monroe and his wife, Linda, of Auburn; Newell Monroe and his wife, Norma, of Gilroy; Alice Bilbao and her husband, Frank, of Sunnyvale; her stepdaughter Phyllis Wherry and her husband, Bob, of New Plymouth, Idaho. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and four step grandchildren.Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, at the New Auburn Cemetery, 1040 Collins Drive. Donations may be made to Parkside Church of the Nazarene or to Sutter Auburn Faith Hospice. Arrangements have been made by Chapel of the Hills.
