Dorothy Maude Corbin

Dorothy Maude Corbin passed away Dec. 8, 2003 in Auburn at the age of 90. She was born in Marysville on Sept. 14, 1913. Retired from teaching after 28 years from Tahoe Truckee United School District. She is survived by her daughters Kay Atchinson of Auburn and Carol Brush of Roseville; step-son Larry Corbin of Roseville; sister Ruth Schilling of Spokane, Wash. and brother Joseph Roberts of Yuba City; two grandsons; two nieces; and two nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, John S. Corbin, and two sisters. Dorothy was a member of Pioneer United Methodist Church, Auburn; member and past worthy matron, order of Eastern Star (OES), Truckee. Graveside memorial services will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003 at 11 AM at Sutter Cemetery, with Rev. David Moss of Trinity United Methodist Church, Chico, officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel. Contributions will be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, PO Box 21-4477, Sacramento, CA 95821.
