Free throw contest set for Sunday

All boys and girls ages 10 to 14 in the greater Auburn area are invited to compete in the local level Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship. The event will take place Sunday, Jan. 25 at 1 p.m. at the St. Teresa of Avila Parish Hall at 11610 Atwood Rd. in Auburn. The annual contest offers competitors the chance to advance through local, district, chapter and state competition. Last year nearly 250,000 people participated.Participants are required to furnish proof of age with a birth certificate and written parental consent on the registration form.
