Twelve Bridges Library hosts programs for all ages

The Friends of the Lincoln Library have planned two programs of interest for July and August.These programs are geared for elementary and middle school children but are of interest to adults as well. All are welcome.At 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16 in the Willow Room of Twelve Bridges Library, two local authors will talk about their book. "First Ladies of California." The women are docents at the Capital in Sacramento and they have interesting stories to tell. They will be followed by a visual presentation by the Sun City Lincoln Hills Bird Group. Following that, the Umpqua Bank in Lincoln will present a red-tailed hawk sculpture to the library for its permanent collection. Some wild birds from a rescue center are hoped to be in attendance as well.At 1:30 p.m. in Wednesday, Aug. 13, a program will be presented by the Sun City Lincoln Hills Astronomy Group. Come learn about our universe. This is an interactive program and a follow-up session with telescopes will be held this winter. Again, this program is geared for elementary and middle school students, but all are welcome.
