March 10 Juan Carlos Osoria, 38, of Sacramento was arrested at Fiddyment Road and Angus Road outside Roseville on suspicion of drunken driving. March 9 Mail — including a gold coin worth $255 — was stolen from a postbox in the 8800-block of Newcastle's Crater Hill Road. A chicken pen was forced open and family dog "Mo" was stolen in the 100-block of Newcastle's Clark Tunnel Road. Value of the dog is $1,500. A light-colored Nissan utility van was observed leaving the area after the theft. A window was broken to get into a vehicle parked in the 1800-block of Baseline Road outside Roseville. An estimated $2,360 in property was reported stolen. Nova Rainbow Johnson, 40, of Auburn was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and violating parole. The arrest happened in the 13400-block of Bowman Road in Bowman. March 8 Tammy Laneigh Meeker, 37, of Sacramento was arrested on suspicion of possession of meth and being under the influence of a controlled substance. The arrest took place at Canyon Way and Canyon Creek Drive in Colfax. March 7 Nicholas Lee McCloe, 31, of Granite Bay was arrested on warrants and suspicion of possession of a meth smoking device fashioned from a glass light bulb. The arrest was in the 7900-block Leona Way in Granite Bay. A 61-year-old North Auburn man lost $101,000 in a phone scam. The caller claimed he was from a Texas law enforcement agency and that the victim's Social Security number was used in a drug crime there. The man turned over $98,500 in the form of a wire transfer and another $2,500 in Google Play gift cards before the fraud was discovered. A total of 52 gallons of gas was stolen from a Foresthill Fire Protection District truck parked at 20540 Foresthill Road in Foresthill. The fire district always keeps trucks 75 percent full of fuel. The truck was locked in a storage yard at the fire station. The lock was found secured and there was no evidence of forced entry. A locked garden shed in the 1600-block of Roseville's Vineyard Road was burglarized. A leaf blower, string trimmer and chainsaws valued at $300 were stolen. A generator on wheels valued at $17,000 was stolen between 6:54 a.m. and 6:58 a.m. from Rua and Sons Mechanical in the 9700-block of Newcastle's Hillview. AAMCO in the 800-block of Grass Valley Highway in North Auburn was broken into but nothing was apparently damaged or stolen. A screen was removed to get inside, a closed circuit video showed. March 6 A gate was damaged during an attempted burglary in the 11000-block Caballo Circle of North Auburn. Damage was estimated at $100. An 85-year-old Colfax woman claimed to have lost $558 in unauthorized payments to Sri Lanka and with Time Warner Cable. March 4 A work truck was broken into in the 1400-block of North Auburn's Grass Valley Highway. A total of $2,244 in property was missing. March 3 A rock was thrown through a window at Original Pete's restaurant, 13434 Lincoln Way in Bowman, causing $1,000 in damage.
