Lincoln woman arrested after shooting into house of man she knew

A Lincoln woman was charged with three felonies and one misdemeanor after shooting into a man's home July 21 on 6th Street in Lincoln, according to a Lincoln Police Department report The Lincoln Police Department responded to a shooting at 1014 6th St. about 11:31 p.m. July 21 after a resident reported broken glass and a woman holding a shotgun, according to a Lincoln Police Department report. "The suspect in the 6th street shooting knew the residents of that house and our investigation indicates that she specifically targeted one of them," Public Safety Chief Doug Lee told The Lincoln News Messenger. "For that reason, I don't believe there is any reason for the community to be worried about their safety." Pamela Pallas, 53, was taken into custody by Lincoln Police for attempted murder, shooting at an occupied dwelling, elder abuse and buglary, according to the Lincoln Police Department report. Police interviewed the male victim of the home who told officers that Pallas shot into the home and broke multiple windows, according to the police report. The man told officers that he shot back at Pallas in self-defense, the report said. Other residents told officers that Pallas was at the home to kill the man, according to the Lincoln Police Department report. Pallas lost "a large amount" of blood from several arm wounds that she had before officers arrived on seen, according to the Lincoln Police Department report. Officers "followed the trail of blood" to the home's backyard where they found Pallas with a loaded shotgun nearby, according to the police report. Pallas was arrested and taken to a local hospital for treatment before being transferred to South Placer Jail, the report said. Pallas is not eligible for bail, according to Lee.
