Enrico (Rico) John Puccioni 11/9/1940 - 11/15/2019

Enrico (Rico) John Puccioni, 79, formerly of Auburn, CA, passed away on November 15, 2019 after bravely battling cancer. Rico was born on November 9, 1940 in Sacramento and lived for many years with his parents, Enrico and Annie, and sister, Rita, on their ranch in Penryn. Rico graduated from Placer High School in 1959 and was a proud Hillman. He started working as a barber in Auburn in 1964 and owned Rico's Barber and Styling for decades before selling the business in 2016. Rico was an active member of his beloved Auburn community - donating his time and cooking talents to many organizations. Rico is survived by his wife, Cris; sons, Tony and Andrew; daughters-in-law, Carolynn and Kim; grandchildren, Luca, Dominic and Mia; and sister, Rita. Being a father and Nonno defined Rico as a person and brought him immeasurable joy. Rico's happiest moments were spent with his family - making cioppino or cruising the wharf in Santa Cruz or playing with the kids in his garden while enjoying a few inches of wine. Rico will be remembered always as a hard-working, generous, kind and loving man who was dedicated to his family above all else.A funeral mass will be held at noon on Monday, December 2, 2019 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Auburn, followed by a private burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Citrus Heights.
