April 29 April Christine Cassidy, 31, of Nevada City was arrested on suspicion of providing false information and being under the influence in the 11600 block of Northview Drive in Nevada City. A 53-year-old Newcastle resident reported a theft and vandalism in the 7500 block of Ridge Road. An unknown individual was reported to have pried open a mailbox and stole an unknown amount of mail. April 30 Philip Wesley Hodge, 32, of Loomis was arrested on suspicion of burglary and vandalism in the 2800 block of Swetzer Road. A 58-year-old Foresthill resident reported a vehicle burglary in the 11300 block of Dry Creek Road. Personal property worth $905 was stolen. Mail tampering was reported in the 11300 block of Dry Creek Road in Auburn. An unknown individual opened several mailboxes. Esley Benjamin Simmons III, 23, of Elk Grove was arrested on suspicion of evading in the Douglas Boulevard and E Roseville Parkway area of Roseville. A 38-year-old Meadow Vista resident reported his identity was stolen due to an unknown individual stealing his passport and credit and debit cards in the 15800 block of McElory Road. A total loss of $43,000 was reported. May 1 Nicholas Mullenski, 33, of Mather was arrested on suspicion of identity theft, prohibited person in possession of a stun gun, prohibited person in possession of pepper spray and heroin possession. The arrest followed an enforcement stop in the Douglas Boulevard and Barton Road area of Granite Bay. Michael Patrick Frank, a 45-year-old transient, was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and obstructing, resisting or delaying a peace officer in the 400 block of Canyon Way in Colfax. May 2 William Joseph Ariettab, 19, of Loomis was arrested in the 3100 block of Orchard Park Court in Loomis on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse and inflicting bodily injury on a person 70 years old or older. May 3 Matthew James Garidel, 72, of Concord was arrested on suspicion of driving with an expired license and taking a vehicle without the owner's consent. The arrest followed a traffic stop in the Highway 49 and Bell Road area of Auburn. McKenzie Dupree Singer, a 40-year-old Sacramento transient, was arrested on suspicion of obtaining personal identifying information for fraud and possession of stolen property. Elvina Kylyukh, a 25-year-old Sacramento transient, was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct. The arrests followed a traffic stop in the Highway 49 and Persimmon Terrace area of Auburn. Angela Donnell Alexander, 50, of Auburn was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication in the 2100 block of Grass Valley Highway in Auburn. Editor's note: An entry in the April 25 Sheriff's Log in the Auburn Journal stated a stolen vehicle was recovered from ATS Repair in the 3300 block of Swetzer Road in Loomis. The shop advised law enforcement that the vehicle was possibly stolen after the vehicle was towed to the shop for maintenance.
