Identity theft suspects arrested during Granite Bay traffic stop

The Placer County Sheriff's Office arrested two suspects June 29 on suspicion of identity theft. The arrests of Sarah Marie Huber, 35, of Antelope and Jonathan Michael Villarreal, 34, of Roseville followed a traffic stop in Granite Bay. A deputy conducted the stop after the vehicle did not come to a complete stop at the intersection of Barton and Olive Ranch roads. Huber was found to be on Yolo County probation for identity theft, and Villarreal is on parole for burglary. According to the Sheriff's Office, a search of Huber's purse revealed a men's wallet with a California identification card, Social Security card and debit card. A parole search was conducted on Villarreal's phone, where screenshots of roughly 45 credit card numbers from a credit card number generating application and photos of around 40 identities were found, the Sheriff's Office reported. The deputy also found a text thread between Villarreal and Huber with pictures of 19 personal identity profiles. Huber and Villarreal were booked at the South Placer Jail and charged with identity theft of 10 or more people and conspiracy. Huber was released from custody June 29, according to Angela Musallam, public information officer for the Placer County Sheriff's Office. Villarreal remained in custody Thursday with bail set at $145,000.
