El Dorado Hills native Yazmeen Mirgoli shares her music with national EP release

Yazmeen Mirgoli, YAZ, an eclectic artist raised in El Dorado Hills, is thrilled to unleash "celestial surrealism" into the world with her debut EP. Her music is thought-provoking and unique. YAZ has achieved stardom with her YAZ X Music YouTube channel, with more than one-million views.YAZ is a true renaissance woman, she designs clothing, is a singer/songwriter, a filmmaker, producer and visual artist. She has traveled the world, from Australia to Peru (one of her favorite places is Europe). YAZ is a Capricorn and an alchemy enthusiast (she showed me a hip jacket she bedazzled and designed herself). YAZ now resides in L.A. but is home for a while visiting her grandmother. This week, YAZ is releasing her debut EP, "Eternity.""A sonic exploration of the afterlife, Eternity fuses together the heavy beats of dark industrial techno with melodic trance and futuristic synth to take the listener on a surrealistic journey of heaven, hell and everything in between," read an excerpt from her publicity.YAZ, an Oakridge graduate, attended University of California at Los Angeles on a full ride where she studied communications, film and TV."I was born in Palo Alto and we moved up here when I was 2 or 3, so this is all I've ever really known. I went to elementary school, middle school and high school here. All my formative years were all in this house. It is funny how things come full circle," said Mirgoli.YAZ has always been interested in the entertainment industry, working in the field since her early years. She also appeared in El Dorado Musical Theatre throughout school. "It really helped form me as an artist (up here), because I didn't have a lot of distractions; living in L.A., there are a lot of distractions. There are always a million things going on. When I am trying to work, I like the quiet. This period of COVID has been odd, it's kind of given me a new appreciation for the area, having some quiet and solitude and being able to create," said Mirgoli.YAZ is a writer at heart and shared "she is always writing." The debut EP is instrumental, which she put together."I am self-produced. I am self-mixing, mastering, everything. I taught myself essentially," said Mirgoli.YAZ admires many artists, from Lady Gaga to Marilyn Manson. YAZ wants to make music that is liberating, empowering and cinematic."My whole objective with what I do … really to make change … ultimate liberation for everyone that has an interaction with whatever I am making," said Mirgoli.YAZ is chasing her dreams, manifesting her destiny and encourages young women to do the same."I knew for a really long time that I was meant to change the world on a global scale. It's not about me really; I am just the vessel to do it. It might be a lot of work and it might be really hard, but if you believe in yourself, you can do anything. It's the truth, if you don't believe in yourself, what are you going to believe in? I want my music to set people free, I think we need more of that in life," said Mirgoli. The EP "Eternity'' willbe available on all streaming platforms globally on Friday.
