Placer County Sheriff's crime log: Bowling ball vandalism, motorcycle helmet switcheroo, more

Feb. 27 A 55-year-old Chicago Park resident reported a burglary in the Iowa Hill Road Bridge area of Colfax. Her purse, containing a driver's license, passport and multiple credit and debit cards, was stolen. A credit card was later used at a Chevron in Colfax. A 69-year-old Granite Bay resident reported a theft in the 8500 block of Auburn Folsom Road. A Glock 19 handgun and a backpack containing a Bluetooth speaker were stolen from his vehicle. A loss of $650 was reported. A 47-year-old Sacramento resident reported a theft at Thunder Valley Casino outside Lincoln. The catalytic converter was stolen from her vehicle on the fourth floor of the parking garage. A loss of $900 was reported. A 27-year-old Sheridan resident reported a theft in the 4800 block of Riosa Road. Tools, worth $1,952, were stolen from a vehicle parked in front of his residence. Feb. 28 A 53-year-old Roseville resident reported a theft at Thunder Valley Casino. Property worth $1,499 was stolen from his vehicle in the east parking lot. Grace Heather Loftin, 31, of Nevada City was cited on suspicion of meth possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. Maksim A. Ostapyuk, 30, of North Highlands was also cited on suspicion of driving with a license suspended for DUI. The citations followed a traffic stop in the Fiddyment Road and Hayden Parkway area of Roseville. March 1 Kelly Cristian Walsh, 39, of Rio Linda was arrested on suspicion of possession of LSD for sale, transportation of LSD for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia and concealment or destruction of evidence in the Foothills Boulevard and W Sunset Boulevard area of Lincoln. Israel Kawaeanaekahionahaku Kawaa, 35, of Sacramento and Kyra Marie Wirth, 26, of Sacramento were cited on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the Highway 65 and Blue Oaks Boulevard area of Roseville. March 2 Alyssa Angel Salazar, 27, of Elk Grove was cited on suspicion of suspected meth possession and pipe possession at Thunder Valley Casino. A 22-year-old Roseville resident reported a burglary and vandalism in the 4000 block of Cavitt Stallman Road in Granite Bay. A purse was stolen from her vehicle. It is believed the front driver's-side window was broken with a bowling ball, as it was left at the scene. James Daniel Minor, 34, was cited on suspicion of meth possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license in the Highway 49 and Marguerite Mine Road area in Auburn. A 36-year-old Lincoln resident reported a burglary at Tri-City Self Storage in the 3400 block of Swetzer Road in Loomis. Items were stolen from a locked storage unit. March 3 Rachelle Nicol Renfroe, 45, of Placerville was arrested on suspicion of assault, violation of probation and possession of a controlled substance at Thunder Valley Casino. Two Roseville residents reported their identities were stolen after unknown individuals contacted them advising they had their contact information and were making purchases on the victims' Amazon account. No fraudulent purchases were reported. A 38-year-old Orangevale resident reported a theft at Thunder Valley Casino after discovering several items were stolen from his motorcycle, and his helmet had been switched with another helmet. A loss of $460 was reported. March 4 A 73-year-old Oakland resident reported a theft at Thunder Valley Casino after her purse was stolen. A loss of $450 was reported. Richard Thomas Hodges, 33, of Anderson and Justin Wayne Vandyke, 40, of Gerber were arrested on suspicion of grand theft, possession of stolen property and conspiracy to commit a crime in the 3500 block of Cincinnati Avenue in Rocklin.
