Loved Again Children's Boutique moves to Downtown Auburn

Loved Again Children's Boutique owner Juliana Dent has wanted to move her shop to Downtown Auburn for years. It was all about finding that right spot. After viewing the Farmers Insurance space on Lincoln Way and deeming it too small, Dent said she discovered the Dancing Dog Ink space was available next door. Twice as big as her location in North Auburn off Highway 49 and Dry Creek Road, Dent jumped at the chance to finally open in Downtown Auburn. "I didn't have any more space over there," Dent said of her North Auburn location. "People would bring a baby stroller in and there was no space to move around." After remodeling the 3,000-square-foot space for eight weeks, Dent opened the new Loved Again store at 826 Lincoln Way on March 27. Loved Again Children's Boutique is a resale clothing store, which features gently used child and maternity clothing. The store carries items for newborns through size 16 and features toys as well. "Even though I am second hand, I am really really picky," Dent said. "I don't want customers to have to look for stains or holes. It's all like-new condition." Dent said her business has done well despite COVID-19 restrictions. Her customer base was kind to her, she said, and she had a good holiday season thanks to their support. Since opening in 2010, Dent said she has been able to grow and add sizes. With this new space, she hopes to add more teen and young adult clothing. She also hopes to carry more toys. "There aren't a lot of spaces to buy a unique toy in town," Dent said. "There are only so many Target toys you can get for a birthday party." Dent said Loved Again offers new Melissa & Doug wooden toys along with a few other gently used toys. "My goal is to have more and more," she said. "It was such a big push to open (in the new space) I didn't get to buy more inventory. Now I know I have the demand for it." Customers have loved the new space, and neighbors along Lincoln Way have stopped by to say hello. Dent said she has invested a lot in this space so she has many long-term goals for her business. "I just want to keep growing and hopefully more people get to know about us," she said. "We just want them to know we are here to keep recycling their baby stuff."
