Placer County Sheriff's crime log: Welfare check turned arrest, casino bathroom robbery, more

April 16 A 37-year-old Sacramento resident reported a robbery at Thunder Valley Casino outside Lincoln after two individuals forced him into a bathroom stall and stole $508 cash from his wallet. The suspects are described as a 5-foot-8 Black male, 185 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair with small dreadlocks; and a 6-foot-5 Black male, 170 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. April 17 Marisa Darlene Varner, 27, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance in the 2700 block of Bell Road in Auburn. Fitore Toshi, 28, of Sacramento was cited on suspicion of trespassing at Thunder Valley Casino. A 58-year-old Penryn resident reported a burglary in the 8600 block of Auburn Folsom Road in Granite Bay after her stereo and dash bezel were stolen from her vehicle. A loss of $450 was reported. Salim Nabih Haddad, 28, of Penryn was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving under the influence with a BAC of .08 percent or more. The arrest followed a report of a single vehicle accident in the 5900 block of Horseshoe Bar Road in Loomis. Michael Lee Johnson Jr., 25, of Antelope was arrested on suspicion of identity theft, unlawful use or possession of tear gas, possession of stolen property, heroin possession, meth possession and driving with a suspended license. The arrest followed a traffic stop at Thunder Valley Casino. Sean David Fisler, 42, of Lincoln was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving under the influence with a BAC of .08 percent or more. The arrest followed a welfare check of an individual passed out in a vehicle in the Highway 49 and Luther Road area of Auburn. April 18 Haley Almond, a 23-year-old transient, was arrested on suspicion of being a convicted felon in possession of tear gas, identity theft, mail fraud and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 4500 block of Yankee Jims Road in Foresthill. Laticia Angelina Peralez, 33, of Sacramento was cited on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia. Corey William Viegas, 35, of Sacramento was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a controlled substance while armed, being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm in public, being a felon in possession of ammunition and meth possession. The arrest and citation followed a traffic stop at Thunder Valley Casino. A 34-year-old Lincoln resident reported her identity was stolen after receiving a text from Capital One regarding an $87 transaction at Thunder Valley Casino. A burglary was reported at Trinity Highway Products, LLC in the 3600 block of Cincinnati Avenue in Rocklin after an unknown individual attempted to pry into a vehicle registered to the business. April 19 Jacob Riley Cross, 22, of Auburn was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and possession of Xanax in the Dry Creek Road and Haines Road area of Auburn. Justena Danielle Sexton, a 20-year-old Auburn transient, was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer in the 3700 block of Galena Drive in Auburn. The arrest followed a report of a woman running around the neighborhood and park naked. Nicholas Northcutt, 26, of Colfax was arrested on suspicion of meth possession in the 19400 block of Sun Valley Road in Colfax. A 74-year-old Newcastle resident reported a theft in the 9000 block of Ophir Road after the catalytic converter was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at the Ophir Park & Ride. A 53-year-old Davis resident reported a theft at Thunder Valley Casino after the catalytic converter was stolen from his vehicle in the parking garage. A burglary was reported at Gold Country Tractors, Inc. in the 10200 block of Ophir Road in Newcastle after $5,000 worth of equipment and tools were stolen.
