Placer County Sheriff's crime log: ER threats, stolen U-Haul trailer arrest, more

April 22 Mustafa Liddawi, 36, of Rocklin was cited on suspicion of meth possession and drug paraphernalia possession in the 600 block of Newcastle Road in Newcastle. A 52-year-old Auburn resident reported a burglary in the 10700 block of Joeger Road after an unknown individual cut the lock of a utility trailer and stole various property marked with "RF" or "AFC." A loss of $9,831 was reported. April 23 Nicholas Steven Cornwell, 39, of Auburn was arrested on suspicion of meth possession in the D Avenue and First Street area of Auburn. James Nelson Whiteley, 32, of Loomis was arrested on suspicion of probation violation and possession of an access card without consent following a traffic stop for expired registration in the 3500 block of Ong Place in Loomis. James Chesley Souza, 18, of El Dorado Hills was arrested on suspicion of vehicle tampering and receiving stolen property in the 3500 block of Day Avenue in Loomis. Darrell Eugene Polk, a 24-year-old Auburn transient, was cited on suspicion of meth possession and meth pipe possession following a traffic stop at South Auburn Street and East Church Street in Colfax. April 24 Colby David Knox, a 44-year-old Auburn transient, was arrested on suspicion of felony evading, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer in the Bowman Road area of Auburn. Marcus Karl Brown, 61, of Marina was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in the 600 block of Newcastle Road in Newcastle. Lee Stevens, a 34-year-old transient, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle or trailer. The arrest followed a traffic stop of a vehicle towing a U-Haul trailer reported stolen out of Sacramento in the 7000 block of Pleasant Grove Boulevard in Roseville. Brett Espinoza, 30, of Manteca was arrested on suspicion of battery at Thunder Valley Casino outside Lincoln. April 25 James Lowe, a 57-year-old transient, was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats and attempted battery at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital in the 11800 block of Education Street in Auburn. The suspect allegedly threatened an emergency room nurse who attempted to take his vitals by saying, "I'm going to knock you unconscious," "I'm going to grind your face into the ground" and, "I'm going to beat you to a pulp." Joshua David Packard, a 39-year-old Auburn transient, was arrested on suspicion of parole hold, being a felon in possession of a baton, domestic violence, meth possession and meth pipe possession in the 12100 block of Shale Ridge Lane in Auburn. Traice Tyree, 22, of Sacramento was arrested on suspicion of parole hold and battery at Thunder Valley Casino. The arrest followed a report of angry guests unwilling to leave casino premises. Gary Lee Baron, 37, of Cool was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving under the influence with a BAC of .08 percent or more. The arrest followed a welfare check in the 200 block of Taylor Road in Newcastle of an individual parked in front of Carol's Market and Deli for hours. A 62-year-old Loomis resident reported a burglary in the 4100 block of Auburn Folsom Road after the vehicle registration and insurance were stolen from her vehicle. April 26 A 50-year-old Sacramento resident reported a theft at Thunder Valley Casino after her purse was stolen. A loss of $412 was reported. April 27 A 71-year-old Auburn resident reported mail theft in the 300 block of Stoddard Way after mail was stolen from his mailbox. His debit card was later used in an attempted withdrawal from an ATM in North Auburn. The transaction was unsuccessful due to an incorrect pin number. A 66-year-old Sacramento resident reported a burglary at Thunder Valley Casino after the front passenger window of her vehicle was smashed while on the third floor of the parking garage and miscellaneous property was stolen. A loss of $774 was reported.
