Placer County Sheriff's crime log: Cell phone snatching, casino robbery, more

June 11 A 54-year-old Auburn resident reported vandalism in the 1800 block of Grass Valley Highway after finding a dent on the right rear pillar of his vehicle. A loss of $1,936 was reported. June 23 A 40-year-old Sheridan resident reported a theft in the 5800 block of 19th Street after the catalytic converter was stolen from her vehicle. A loss of $1,000 was reported. A 26-year-old Grass Valley resident reported vehicle tampering in the 1500 block of Iowa Hill Road in Colfax after the front passenger window of his vehicle was smashed. No property was reported missing. A loss of $250 was reported. June 24 A 64-year-old Auburn resident reported a robbery in the Taylor Road and Sierra College Boulevard area of Loomis after a female used her vehicle to block him from making a right turn onto Sierra College Boulevard, snatched his cell phone out of his hand and drove away. The suspect is described as a 30-year-old White female with blonde hair and drove a white four-door sedan. Kesean Tyree Daniels, 25, of Sacramento was cited on suspicion of glass pipe possession. The citation followed a report of trespassing at Thunder Valley Casino outside Lincoln. A 29-year-old Maple Shade, New Jersey, resident reported a theft at Thunder Valley Casino after his wallet went missing. His credit cards were then used at several locations in Sacramento for $692. Cara Marie Ladrech, 55, of Granite Bay was arrested on suspicion of probation violation and resisting a peace officer. The arrest followed a report of a verbal dispute in the 9000 block of Cedar Ridge Drive in Granite Bay. A 54-year-old Granite Bay resident reported being bilked out of $1,000 after the money was withdrawn from his EDD bank account. A 59-year-old Sacramento resident reported a burglary at Thunder Valley Casino after items worth $1,000 were stolen from his vehicle while in the parking structure. June 25 Aaron Mario Small, a 30-year-old transient, was arrested on suspicion of resisting, obstructing or delaying a peace officer in the A Avenue and County Center Drive area of Auburn. Nicholas Robert Rea, 37, of Sacramento was arrested on suspicion of possession of burglary tools and meth pipe possession. The arrest followed a traffic stop in the Twelve Bridges Drive and Highway 65 area of Lincoln. A 27-year-old Sacramento resident reported a robbery at Thunder Valley Casino after two individuals stole her $234 cash-out voucher. One individual, described as a 5-foot-7 Black female, 110 pounds with brown curly, shoulder-length hair and wearing a dark blue T-shirt and blue jean shorts, hit the cash-out button on the victim's slot machine. When the victim grabbed her wrist to prevent her from taking the voucher, a second individual, described as a 5-foot-11 Black male, 200 pounds with a goatee and wearing a black hat, white T-shirt with a design on the front, ripped jeans and a gold chain, said, "Let go of the voucher or I will shoot you. I have nothing to lose. Stand here and act normal while we leave." A 59-year-old Sacramento resident reported a burglary at Thunder Valley Casino after items worth $685 were stolen from her vehicle while in the parking structure. June 26 Gavin Henry Miles Roberts, 31, of Hayward was arrested on suspicion of felony evading, possession of drug paraphernalia, being a felon in possession of metal knuckles, driving under the influence of drugs, being a felon in possession of a baton and resisting, obstructing or delaying a peace officer. The arrest followed an attempted traffic stop in the Interstate 80 and Bell Road area of Auburn. Claire Rene Briare, 22, of Granite Bay was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance in the 9300 block of Oak Leaf Way in Granite Bay.
