Updated River Fire evacuation orders, road closures

CAL FIRE announced updated evacuation orders and road closures for Placer and Nevada counties, effective 4 p.m. Saturday. Evacuation orders have been lifted for Zone 1D in Placer County: Hillcrest Boulevard west to Ponderosa Court to include Golden Oak Court, Monte Vista Court and Madrone Lane. Several road blocks near the River Fire in Nevada County have changed affecting Zones NCO-E102-A and NCO-E103-C, allowing more residents to return home. Aspen Gold Drive and both Silver Leaf Drives remain CLOSED at this point, but areas west of those are now OPEN. Mount Olive Road in now OPEN to through traffic. Taylor Crossing Road, Clydesdale Road, Mountain Lion Road, Last Mile Drive, Deer Hollow Way, Ladera Way and Meyer Road all remain CLOSED. Areas that remain closed should not be entered.
