Flyers Energy of Auburn raises $193k for Special Olympics

The 22nd Flyers Fall Classic golf tournament, held Sept. 29 at The Ridge Golf Club in Auburn, raised $193,009 to benefit Special Olympics Northern California (SONC). There were more than 100 golfers in the tournament. David Solo, president of SONC, said, "Thank you (Flyers Energy) for the very generous funding again this year to help support the over 27,000 Special Olympic athletes that we serve. … The Flyers Golf Classic is always so much fun." Flyers Energy extended special thanks to The Ridge Golf Club for its continued support in hosting this event. Andrew Sandoe, chief executive officer of Hire Heroes USA, announced a partnership with Flyers Energy, LLC during the awards ceremony. The organizations are set to work together on the process of hiring veterans to stable non-term contract jobs around the country. The mission of Hire Heroes USA is to empower U.S. military members, veterans and spouses to succeed in the civilian workforce.
