Folsom Police investigate Sacramento PD officer who allegedly filmed females without their knowledge

The Folsom Police Department is seeking possible additional victims as it continues its investigation into allegations that a local man, Benjamin Gray, video recorded female victims during intimate settings without their knowledge.The investigation on Gray began back on Jan. 16 after a criminal complaint was issued on Gray. During the ongoing investigation, Folsom Police have discovered images of other potential victims and are hoping they will come forth.Due to the ongoing investigation, very few details in the case are being released. Gray is a Sacramento Police Officer, who is currently on administrative leave, according to the Sacramento Police Department, who issued a public statement on the matter Wednesday afternoon."The Folsom Police Department advised the Sacramento Police Department that they were pursuing a criminal complaint related to the conduct of Sacramento Police Department Officer Benjamin Gray. He was not on duty at the time the notification was received," reads the statement. "Gray was placed on administrative leave and his peace officer powers were removed. He remains on administrative leave as the criminal investigation is being conducted by the Folsom Police Department."In addition to the criminal investigation by the Folsom Police Department, the Sacramento Police Department's Internal Affairs Division is conducting an administrative investigation which will be subject to an independent review by the City of Sacramento's Office of Public Safety Accountability, according to the statement."The Sacramento Police Department takes any criminal allegations against its officers seriously and is cooperating with the Folsom Police Department," concluded the statement.Folsom Police investigators are urging anyone that was involved with Gray during the last three years and believe they may be a victim to contact Folsom Police Department Detective Plank at 916-461-6478 or gplank@folsom.ca.us.
