Green Acres Nursery & Supply to host pet adoptions at Eisley's in Auburn

Green Acres Nursery & Supply is hosting Placer County Animal Services on Saturday, March 5, for its Dog Days Adoptions at the Eisley's location in Auburn. The community is invited to attend the free event to meet animal services volunteers and adopt a pooch to take home. According to Viktoriya Koleva, spokesperson for Dog Days Adoptions, this will be the third pet adoption event Green Acres will host this year. The Feb. 26 event at the Citrus Heights location resulted in more than 25 dogs being adopted. The event will feature dogs of various breeds, sizes and ages with the hope of "Just help(ing) these shelters give the dogs forever homes," Koleva said. As an additional way to help the pups find a forever home, Green Acres will pay $100 toward adoption fees during the event. According to the event website, the adoption fee for a dog, inclusive of spay/neuter, rabies vaccine and microchip, is $140. "Rescuing is the answer. That's why we say our favorite breed is rescue," Koleva said. Dog Days Adoptions will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Green Acres Nursery & Supply at Eisley's is located at 380 Nevada Street in Auburn. Green Acres will host three more Dog Days Adoptions on Saturday, May 28, at the Rocklin location (5436 Crossings Drive); Saturday, June 4, in Elk Grove (9220 E.
