Local rancher/engineer seeks water district position

Trevor Caulder, a Lincoln resident, is running for a Nevada Irrigation District (NID) seat. NID provides water to half of Sun City Lincoln Hills, portions of Lincoln and much of rural Lincoln. "Water is life, yet our state's water and electric supplies are facing unprecedented stresses. I am excited to announce that I am seeking election to Nevada Irrigation District (NID) Board of Directors to protect our water," Caulder said. "In the face of statewide challenges, we are fortunate in Placer and Nevada counties to have a sustainable water resource that delivers life to our rural and urban communities while also generating clean energy."
