Lynn Liddell 12/7/1941 - 8/3/2022

Lynn Marie Liddell ( Penny Robinson) passed away on August 3rd 2022, loving daughter of Herbert and Grace Robinson, and sister to Herb (Jr) and Patrick Robinson. Lynn was born into this world December 7th 1941. She was going to become nothing less than a force to be reckoned with; stubborn and independent from the beginning, characteristics which helped her become a strong, passionate, self assured woman. Lynn was raised in Roseville, graduate of Roseville high school, and her later years residing in Colfax California. Lynn lived a full and successful life characterized by her Irish ancestry and a strong devotion to social justice, particularly the rights of women. There was nothing more important to her than her family and friends. Lynn was a persistent and intelligent life-time student who enjoyed the pursuit of knowledge and the search for meaning and understanding of the human experience. She earned a Bachelor's Degree majoring in Government and Politics in 1976 and a Masters of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from California State University in Sacramento in 1994. She pursued her internship working as a Violence Counselor/ Trainee Intern under a licensed Therapist from 1993-2000 . Lynn achieved her lifetime dream and goal when she successfully completed her state exams and became a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California in 2000; and established her own practice in Auburn, specializing in children, adolescents, and family, until she retired in 2011. She belonged to the Association of Marriage and Family Therapists attending many professional gatherings to continue her higher education while making many friends along the way. Lynn was a certified Chaplain in the Unity Church of Auburn which she attended and supported for many years. Lynn married Don Liddell, her second husband in 1977 and enjoyed 45 years of, sometimes challenging but always loving year's together, ending to soon. Lynn was a loving and caring mother to 5 children: including Robbyn ,her surviving daughter and her son Andrew (deceased), from her first marriage to Dale Pueschel; and Don's children from his first marriage; Wendy, Michael , and Kevin. A devoted, caring, grandmother to six grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren, with heartfelt love for each. Lynn enjoyed the outdoors and was a long time member of the Sierra Club . She enjoyed swimming, camping, canoeing, hiking, and sunbathing with a good book. She was an accomplished bridge player and enjoyed dinner dates, dancing ,and engaging conversation. She was a voracious reader loving subjects relating to politics, religion, spirituality, and murder mysteries. Her books could be found everywhere within her reach, her purse , her car , her bedside. Lynn loved travel , visiting many of the National parks and traveling a broad , she even kissed the Blarney Stone in her ancestral homeland of Ireland. Lynn had impeccable taste with a great sense of style and how she presented herself was important. She was well dressed and groomed at all times and loved manicures and shopping for clothes. She loved a spontaneous night out with a Medori Sour and a night of dancing. Lynn also enjoyed the simple things: the beauty of flowers, a red sunset, a sudden rainbow, walking the beach and the sound of the waves with the sand between her toes. Lynn had a full , productive, challenging and happy life. Her presence will be profoundly missed by her husband Don, and her daughter Robbyn, grandchildren, and niece Stacey, and all who knew her along this journey. Lynn's soul and spirit will forever live in our memory and our hearts.
