Halloween treats with Auburn Symphony: 2 weekend concerts

Looking for a night without a fright but instead much delight? Consider the sight of an orchestra in costume, led by a knight, making music quite right with all their might for Halloween. Costumes are encouraged for the Auburn Symphony's family pops concerts on Halloween weekend, Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. Maestro Ryan Murray will lead the orchestra in such musical favorites as "Pirates of the Caribbean," "Jaws, "Showboat," "Titanic," "Hook," "The Flying Dutchman" and even "SpongeBob!" At intermission children and adults can join a costume parade across the stage. "Join us for this musical journey, called 'Symphony at Sea,' as we set sail on our New Horizons season," symphony Executive Director Anne Brown says. "You'll hear music you know and love. Spectacular soprano Carrie Hennessey joins us for this concert – you will be blown away by her voice. Costumes are certainly welcome, and we look forward to seeing your best Halloween ensembles. This concert is one not to miss and fun for the whole family." So say, "Yes, quite right!" and get to the site of music and light, where you'll be in for a night of frolic and delight.
