In Loving Memory of Jeri Muller 6/30/1936 - 10/30/2021

One year ago, on October 30, 2021, our beloved mom & grandmother, Jeri Muller, of Newcastle, went home to be with the Lord. Jeri was reunited with her wonderful husband, Lou, and dear firstborn, Louie. Jeri Carmen Sommers Muller was born in Sacramento. Her childhood included many trials. She spent time in St. Patrick's Home for Children and foster homes. After being sent to live with her father in Washington state, she found the Lord and a "foster" family through a neighborhood church. Upon graduating from high school, her foster parents paid for her to attend Multnomah School of the Bible where she sang in a trio, wrote poetry, and graduated with a Bible degree. She met her husband, Lou, at a church basketball game back in Sacramento. Their three children, Louie, Scott, and Heather, were primarily raised in Newcastle in the house the Mullers had built on 2 acres for approximately $14K in 1968! Jeri was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her hobbies and interests were too numerous to mention here. Lou and Jeri's home served as the receiving home for Placer County for many years with over 900 children coming through their home. The Mullers also ran group homes for babies and delinquent teenage boys.
