Angelina "Angie" Figueroa 4/20/1939 -12/12/2022

We regretfully announce the passing of Angelina "Angie" Figueroa of Loomis, Ca (formerly of Auburn, Ca) on December 12, 2022. Angie was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully. Our mother, Angie, was one of the strongest, most courageous, bravest, kindest women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her as the Mother of our family. Angie graduated from Saint Mary's High School in Oakland, Ca. Angelina met her husband, Ron, in 1960 while she was a teller at Bank of America. Early in their marriage, Ron and Angie moved to Lake of the Pines, where she raised their five sons (Chris, Scott, Kevin, Brian, and Leslie). Lake of the Pines is where Angie made many friends and lifelong relationships. Angie raised her children through the Nevada County School systems; Pleasant Ridge Elementary, Magnolia Intermediate, and Nevada Union High School, where all five boys graduated from. In 1975, Angie and Ron opened their family business, Fig's Nursery and Landscaping. Fig's Nursery ran successfully for 33 years and Figs Landscaping is still striving today for almost 50 years. Angie shined and flourished as nursery owner and landscape designer in our Landscaping division. We were known to have the Best Fig Party's ever back in the 80's as our mom was in the middle of most of them with our Dad. In 2008, Angie and Ron, moved to Loomis, Ca. where she reaped the true benefits of being a grandmother and great grandmother. Angie was a wonderful and loving mother, who gave her all to her family. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her and we all will miss our mother forever and she will be in our hearts as long as we live. Angie was predeceased by her mother and father (Eloiyso and Sophia), and siblings: Rudelfo, Ruby, Ernestina, Alice, Arlene, Beto, and Steve. Angie is survived by her husband of 62 years (Ron), her five boys (Chris, Scott, Kevin, Brian, and Leslie), her daughter in law (Andrea), her grandchildren (Dylan and his partner Kayla, Stefani, Sofia and her husband Alex, Wyatt and his partner Natasha, Tyler, Breanna, Kayd, and Ruby), and her great grandchildren (Athena, Jade, Cruz, Evelyn, Liliah and Claire,). Services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Lassila Funeral Chapel 551 Grass Valley Highway Auburn, Ca 95603 from 11:00am-1:00pm. Graveside services will follow at Newcastle Cemetery 850 Taylor Rd. Newcastle, Ca 95658 from 1pm-2pm.
