Jeffrey William Schweig 5/25/1960 - 1/29/2023

Jeffrey William Schweig, 62 of Penryn, California, peacefully passed away surrounded and supported by his loving family on January 29, 2023. Born May 25, 1960, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jeffrey attended school there before moving to Livermore, California, where he would serve and protect as a peace officer for 16 years. After his marriage to his beloved bride Linda in 1999, the pair raised seven children–leading their family with a beautiful example of love. After retiring from the Livermore Police Force, Jeffrey became an entrepreneur and founded California's largest family-owned, private provider of live scan fingerprinting: Capital Live Scan. While building his business, Jeffrey continuously gave back to the community he loved–coaching countless sports teams, leading PTA and youth sports meetings, and making everyone he came across feel seen, heard and valued. With the help of his son, Colton, Jeffrey fell in love with the game of Lacrosse. He founded and coached Del Oro's first-ever Boys Varsity Lacrosse team through inspiration and hard work while battling brain cancer. His death is preceded by his father, Kenneth, and sister, Debbie. He is survived by his mother, Carol, his sister Sherry, his devoted wife of nearly 24 years, Linda, seven children, and thirteen grandchildren. Whether he was known as husband, father, grandpa, papa, son, friend, or coach, he was undoubtedly loved and welcomed by all. Jeffrey felt that his family and contributions to his community were his greatest accomplishments, and he put his cherished time and energy there. His Celebration of Life will be held February 10, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Blue Goose event center in Loomis, California. In lieu of flowers, his family welcomes donations towards the Jeff Schweig Memorial Lacrosse Scholarship at Del Oro High School or donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital in his name.
