Patricia Marie Arant 12/24/1937- 7/16/2023

Patricia Marie Arant, (Pat), peacefully passed away on July 16, 2023, in Roseville, California, at the age of eighty-five. She was born on December 24, 1937, in Grass Valley, California to the late LeRoy & Felipia (Marie) Simpson. Pat had a fulfilling career as a bus driver for 30+ years, serving the Mid Placer School District, the City of Auburn, and the County of Placer. She dedicated her time and efforts to ensuring the safe transportation of countless students and community members throughout her years of service. She was a faithful volunteer for the Cancer Thrift Shop in Auburn as well as Auburn Faith Hospital Gift Shop, for many years. She enjoyed fishing on the Sacramento River pretty much every weekend with her late husband; their poles stuck in the water waiting for the big one to bite. She enjoyed crafting; rock painting, sign painting, wood projects and had her own personal craft house where her wares are proudly displayed. In her personal life, Pat was a beloved mother to her son, Bob Arant (Penny), and daughters, Bonnie Leighton (Rick) and Sandy Hammock. She adored her grandchildren, Bobbie Cazares, Christina Turner, Catherine Arant, Ben Turner, Tom Arant, Cheryl Hammock Geldien, Tony Arant, and Tim Arant, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was a wonderful caring and loving wife, mom, grandmother and great gramma. Her family was her world. Pat was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dale Arant in 2001. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. A private family gathering will be held to honor Pat's memory on Saturday August 5, 2023. Please contact 530-277-8219 or 912-312-5518 for more information on Pat's celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice in Pat's name. May Pat rest in eternal peace, her memory forever cherished by those who knew and loved her.
