Dry Creek Veterinary Center unexpectedly closing permanently

Patients of the Dry Creek Veterinary Center were shocked to see signage on the front doors announcing it would be closing permanently. "Due to circumstances outside our control, we are permanently closing," the sign read. Following the message, the center alerted patients the last day to pick up medications would be Aug. 15 and anyone who required records for the pets must email drycreekveterinarycenter@gmail.com. Dry Creek Veterinary Center, located at 1090 Pleasant Grove Boulevard, was opened by Doctor Jasmeet Lehil in 2017, according to the California Secretary of State business search. Gold Mountain California News Media reached out to Dry Creek Veterinary Center for comment but received no response. "This is terrible news," Cassidy Hildebrand, a patient of Dr. Lehil's, said in a Facebook comment. "We have been with him when he was practicing at someone else's veterinary office. He saved my boy's life and gave us a beautiful time together until he grew old." Lexie J. of Lincoln left a Yelp review in April, saying, "As always, 10/10 service. I have been taking my 3-year-old German shepherd here since I got him and doc has never failed me. He is a great veterinarian and offers great advice. I have always had a good experience." Despite many patients having a pleasant experience at the veterinary office, some Yelp reviewers shared their lacking experiences. "Honestly, I really wanted to like this place," Toni D. of Roseville said. "I brought my cat here because I could not get him to see his regular vet sooner. I brought him here and I regret it." She went on to explain the office felt "run down and not well maintained." She also found the veterinarian she spoke with to be "not friendly at all." Toni also said the veterinarian "insisted" surgery be done on her cat; however, she waited and consulted her usual veterinarian the following day. Her veterinarian told her the surgery proposed was "completely unnecessary." Suzanne K. said her experience lacked basic service in her Yelp review: "I called for a referral and they can't even do that for me. My dog needs an MRI and I asked for paperwork to be filled out. I followed up with them at least 2-3 times and still nothing."
