Rocklin incident report: DUI solo collision, child abuse and drug arrests

The Rocklin Police Department publishes a weekly crime report. Here are the published incidents from Aug. 7-16: Aug. 16 At about 3:32 p.m., Rocklin Police responded to a report from a store manager that a subject was seen stealing items from their store on the 2100 block of Sunset Boulevard. Officers arrived and saw the suspect, Conor Pilch, 28, of Atlanta, Georgia. When the officers tried to contact Pilch, he ran but was eventually stopped by the officers. Pilch was arrested and booked at the South Placer Jail. Aug. 15 Around 4 p.m., an unknown suspect entered a retail business on the 5400 block of Crossings Drive and stole a backpack filled with merchandise and a bicycle that he pushed out of the store before riding off without paying for any of the items. Aug. 13 At 3:03 a.m., Rocklin Police contacted the occupant of a parked vehicle on the 6000 block of Stanford Ranch Road. While speaking to the driver, the officer noticed signs the driver was a narcotics user. Upon further investigation, the officer located fentanyl, methamphetamine and narcotic paraphernalia in the vehicle. The items were seized and the suspect was released with a signed promise to appear. Aug. 11 At 12:45 a.m., Rocklin Police responded to a report of a vehicle burglary on the 2500 block of Warren Drive. Officers arrived and detained three suspects. An investigation revealed the suspects were tampering with a vehicle and forging the registration. The three suspects were identified as Bobbi Lee Attaway, 23, of Sacramento; Timofey Lomov, 26, of Newcastle; and Matthew Tessmann, 32, of Roseville. All three were arrested and booked at the Placer County Jail. At 8:45 a.m., Rocklin Police responded to a hit and run accident on Sierra College Boulevard and Scriber Way. Officers located the vehicle and the driver, Michael Meiggs, 40, of San Jose. An investigation revealed Meiggs was under the influence of drugs. Meiggs was arrested and booked at the Placer County Jail. At 3:33 p.m., Rocklin Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on the 5400 block of 3rd Street. Officers located the vehicle and driver. An investigation revealed the suspect was in possession of narcotics, controlled substances and paraphernalia. The suspect was released with a signed promise to appear. At 10:26 p.m., Rocklin Police responded to a family disturbance on the 5400 block of S. Grove Street. The investigation revealed child abuse and domestic violence occurred. The suspect, Brandon Law, was found to be in possession of a leaded cane and had a firearm in the vehicle with a large-capacity magazine. Lane was arrested and booked into the Placer County Jail. At 10:52 p.m., Rocklin Police responded to a report of a single vehicle traffic collision at the intersection of Darby Road and Stanford Ranch Road. Officers located the vehicle and the driver, Jennifer Cantrell, 47, of Rocklin. An investigation revealed Cantrell was driving under the influence of alcohol. Cantrell was arrested and booked at the Placer County Jail. Aug. 7 Between 6:30 p.m. and 3 a.m., an unknown suspect stole a victim's Honda Civic on the 6600 block of Blue Oaks. The victim's credit cards were also stolen and later used at a business.
