Roseville incident report: Grand thefts, porch pirates and online fraud

The Roseville Police Department publishes a bi-weekly crime report. Here are the incidents for Dec. 13-27: Dec. 20 At 1:50 p.m., a vehicle parked in a hotel lot near the 1900 block of Freedom Way for a night stay on Dec. 18-19. At 8 a.m. Dec. 19, the rear passenger window and front passenger window were found smashed. A laptop and a new purse were taken from the vehicle. Dec. 18 At 4:55 p.m., police reported a package was delivered to a Kramer Court home's porch by FedEx at 9:57 a.m., and at 9:59 a.m., a Ring camera showed someone come to the porch and walk away with the package. At 11:10 p.m., an electric bike was taken from the porch of a Micro Court home. The owner still has keys for the charger that is attached and keys for the lock attached. Dec. 16 At 9:41 a.m., someone left their Rigby Court home for a vacation out of the country from Dec. 8-16. When starting their truck, they noticed it was really loud with the exhaust cut and mostly missing along with all the emission equipment and DEF tank. Dec. 13 At 6:55 a.m., someone attempting to make a purchase through a PayPal account on Dec. 14 was reported near Fence Post Way. The purchase was denied because of fraudulent activity. When investigated, it was found someone attempted to purchase a gaming chair but was canceled because it was deemed by PayPal to be fraudulent. The ParPal account's owner looked up the information and found someone changed the password. They used face recognition to access the account and fix it. At 5:53 p.m., a person came back to their car at 7:20 p.m. near the 1400 block of Eureka Road. They noticed the passenger window was smashed. Two bags were missing from the passenger seat: a green Gucci bag valued at $75 containing a Laura Mercier Foundation brush ($46), a Laura Mercier eye brush ($36), a Laura Mercier brow brush ($28), a Laura Mercier angled cheek brush ($40) and a Laura Mercier crease brush ($36). The other bag taken was a gold Mario Badescu valued at $75. The total loss was $301. At 6 p.m., someone drove a friend's car to a gym near the 1100 block of Roseville Square. They left their purse on the front passenger seat of the vehicle and returned at about 8 p.m. to discover the front passenger window broken and the purse stolen. They found keys on the ground in front of the entrance to the gym. Their red wallet, which contained a California Driver's License, several credit cards and $30 in cash was missing. Everything else in the purse was recovered.
