Auburn Interfaith Food Closet hosts virtual Easter Food Drive

The Auburn Interfaith Food Closet is holding its virtual Easter Food Drive from March 1-31. "Our annual virtual Easter Food Drive reflects the deep meaning of this season - giving, renewal and hope," said Andy Hayes, AIFC president. "We invite the community to celebrate the Easter season by helping us provide nutritious food to those in out midst who face hunger and need a helping hand. The community has always been supportive of our food drives and having it virtual makes it easy to donate." Individuals wanting to donate can visit auburnfoodcloset.org, click on the "Virtual Easter Food Drive" button located on the home page and select the dollar amount you would like to give. No shopping, no bagging groceries and no donation delivery is necessary. Donations can be made by credit card, debit card or PayPal. Individuals without computer access can mail a donation to Auburn Interfaith Food Closet, P.O. Box 132, Auburn, CA 95604, and note "Easter Food Drive" on the check. "Financial donations allow us to purchase fresh food to supplement groceries donated by the community so we can provide our guests with balanced, healthy, nutritious food," said Judie Whitman, AIFC vice president and chairman of the Food Resources Committee.
