Soroptimist of Auburn accepting applications for Live Your Dream scholarship

Are you a woman who provides the primary support for your family? Has life been a bit bumpy to get you on the road to where you are today? Soroptimist International of Auburn is looking for women like you. As part of the National Soroptimist organization, Soroptimist International of Auburn is taking applications for the Live Your Dream Award. The Live Your Dream award offers three levels of scholarships. Eligible applicants can submit their applications by Nov. 15 for the 2024 award year. Ultimately, the finalist has the potential to receive up to $16,000 to help offset tuition cost, purchase books, get transportation or find reliable childcare. The first step is to apply. Soroptimist International of Auburn provides a $2,000 scholarship to a local winner. The winner is then forwarded on to the larger Soroptimist organization to compete for more scholarships. Eligible applicants are women who: * Provides the primary financial support for yourself and your dependents. * Has financial need. * Is enrolled in or has been accepted to a vocational/skills training program, high school equivalency or an undergraduate degree program. * Is motivated to achieve your education and career goals. * Has not previously been the recipient of a Soroptimist Women's Opportunity or Live Your Dream Award. * Does not have a graduate degree. * Is not a Soroptimist member, an employee of Soroptimist International of the Americas or immediate family.
