Cheryl Ann Sargent 2/4/1963 - 6/21/2024

Cheryl Ann Sargent, a beloved Colfax, CA, hairdresser for 32 years, passed away June 21, 2024. She was born in Redwood City on February 4,1963 to Ralph and Donna Mae Apodaca. Cheryl dedicated her career to her clients and their beauty needs as she brought joy and confidence to those clients. Her clients and family knew her for her generosity, her sense of humor, her love of laughing, her forgiving and helping nature, and her natural sweetness. Cheryl married her high school sweetheart, Phil Sargent. They created a loving, supportive life together. And, they had a deep love that continued all the 47 years they knew each other. Their son Andrew came along in 1992, the year they moved to Colfax. She is survived by husband, Phil, their son Andrew (Em), her brothers Paul Apodaca (Nancy) and Roger Apodaca. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life for Cheryl on Saturday, October 12 at 10 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Auburn, 710 Auburn Ravine Rd., Auburn, CA, 530-885-9087. A Reception will follow at Auburn Regional Park, 3770 Richardson Drive, Auburn, CA. Please join us at the Reception potluck lunch. Soft drinks will be provided.
