Folsom police log: Burglary through doggy door, domestic battery, shoplifting

Editor's note: Those appearing in the following crime report have been arrested on suspicion of the crime indicated and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Oct. 29 Vehicle burglary: Sometime over the previous three days, an unknown suspect(s) broke into a vehicle on the 12500 block of Folsom Blvd. It was unknown what was stolen. Kevin Stoner, 47, of Orangevale was contacted at Walnut Avenue and Diamond Head Way and issued a citation for possessing drug paraphernalia. Oct. 30 Samantha Vicario, 41, of Folsom was contacted during a traffic stop at American River Canyon Drive and Oak Avenue Parkway at 9:49 p.m. and arrested for driving under the influence. Shoplifting: An unknown suspect filled a trash can with merchandise and left the store in the 2600 block of E. Bidwell at 6:56 p.m. Merchandise was later recovered nearby. Darren Thurston, 32, of Folsom was contacted during a traffic stop in the 13300 block of Folsom Blvd at 11:25 a.m. and arrested for driving a stolen vehicle, bringing contraband into a jail or prison, bringing controlled substances into a jail or prison and violating rules of parole. He was booked at Sacramento County Jail. Ashish Shukla, 49, of Folsom was contacted following a traffic collision at Iron Point Road and Broadstone at 1:07 a.m. and issued a citation for driving under the influence. Oct. 31 Petty theft: An unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a purse in the 100 block of Moreland Ct. Christopher Dargen, 34, of Folsom was contacted on the 600 block of E. Bidwell at 6:57 p.m. and issued a citation for an outstanding warrant, possession of controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia. Vandalism: An unknown suspect(s) broke a bedroom window with shotgun pellets in the 500 block of Caislean Ct. at 11:25 a.m. Joseph Alameda, 60, of Richmond was contacted during a traffic stop at Bundrick Drive and Illsley Way at 2:54 a.m. and arrested for an outstanding warrant. Alameda was booked at Sacramento County Jail. Nov. 1 Martin Solomon, 50, of Sacramento and Emily Bolen, 35, of Sacramento were contacted during a traffic stop at Folsom Blvd. and Iron Point Road at 3:58 p.m. Solomon was arrested for mail theft and giving false ID to a police officer. Bolen was arrested for mail theft and giving false ID to a police officer. Both were booked at Sacramento County Jail. Vehicle burglary: Unknown suspect(s) entered a vehicle, causing damage to a vehicle door, and stole a fanny pack and bear spray in the 7500 block of Folsom-Auburn Road. Nov. 2 Robert Dryer, 56, of Folsom was contacted during a traffic stop at Doubletree Ct. and Southcreek Ct. at 8:20 p.m. and arrested for driving under the influence. Dryer was booked at Sacramento County Jail. Petty theft: Unknown suspect(s) stole a wallet from an unlocked vehicle in the 1800 block of Antares Ct. Credit cards were later fraudulently used. Vandalism: Unknown suspect(s) threw a brick through a vehicle window in the 1700 block of Prairie City Road. Nov. 3 Residential burglary: Between Nov. 2 and 3, unknown suspect(s) pried open a doggy door and stole a safe and cash from a residence in the 200 block of Bauer Ct. Matthew Rozek, 56, of Folsom was contacted on the 100 block of Ballast Way at 8:42 p.m. and arrested for domestic battery and booked at Sacramento County Jail. Petty theft: Unknown suspect(s) stole a gym bag from a locker on the 100 block of Healthy Way. Victor Lopez-Gutierrez, 26, of Campbell was contacted on the 900 block of Leidesdorff Street at 3:04 a.m. and issued a citation for fighting in a public place. Nov. 4 Michael Spivey, 39, of Folsom was contacted on the 1000 block of Riley Street at 10:59 p.m. and issued a citation for shoplifting. Shoplifting: Two unknown suspects stole $700 worth of merchandise from a store in the 1000 Block E Bidwell St. at 9 p.m. David Campbell, 57, of Folsom was contacted at Sutter and Bridge streets and issued a citation for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
