Jim Eason 12/26/1935 - 2/8/2025

Jim Eason passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025 after a long illness. Jim was born in Burlington, North Carolina on December 26, 1935. After high school, he briefly studied for theministry at Piedmont Bible College in Winston-Salem, NC. James joined the US Air Force in 1953 as a Weather Observer and also worked with Armed Forces Radio in Morocco. Jim left the Air Force to enroll at SFSU in the Radio TV Broadcast Department, where he met his wife Barbara Thrall. They shared over 60 years together and have two children, Lauren and James III. Jim hosted a popular radio talk show in San Francisco for more than 30 years. Jim participated in the KGO yearly "Leukemia Cureathon", and generously contributed to many other charities. He was inducted as a Bay Area Radio Legend into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame in 2007. Jim closed his show with the phrase: "Do what you can, but behave yourself" Jim leaves behind his wife Barbara, son Adam, (from first marriage), daughter Lauren, son James III (Jessica), grandsons Rollins and Desmond, brother Sam (Gwen), and many family and friends.
