Spectacular Tianyu Lights Festival Welcomes Furry Friends & Partners with Placer SPCA

A festive visual extravaganza is happening Roseville, and next week on one special night, your dog is invited! Tianyu Lights Festival Roseville, in partnership with Placer SPCA, is excited to welcome attendees and their friendly pups (on leash) for a "Twinkle Tail Night" on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Placer SPCA will be on-site from 6 to 8 p.m. to share information about their pet-friendly services, how to adopt forever friends, and will be accepting much-needed dog and cat food donations for festival attendees interested and able to give. "Given our festival is very community minded and family-friendly, we're very excited to partner with the Placer SPCA and welcome four-footed friends for a magical evening at Tianyu Lights Festival Roseville," said Huiyuan Liu, event manager of Tianyu Arts & Culture. "We look forward to seeing lots of happy pups and their pleased parents during our special Twinkle Tail Night." Designed to be playful and fun, the event is highlighted by more than 50 sets of walk-thru lantern light installations in three different themes that include Desert Safari, Ocean World, and Panda Land. With exciting new installations and making its first-ever stop in Placer County, the event is produced by Tianyu Arts & Culture Inc., the leading producer of lantern light festivals in North America that introduced authentic Chinese lantern traditions to the U.S. and Europe. In addition to the spectacular lantern light displays, the evening glow activation includes an illuminated playground – that visitors can interactive with, touch, and even climb on – light-up arcade games, go-karts and rides for all ages, engaging live stage performances every hour, a lively marketplace with unique souvenirs and artisan crafts, plus beverages and snack foods for purchase. "We are delighted to host the Tianyu Lights Festival at Westfield Galleria at Roseville, bringing this extraordinary cultural experience to our community for the very first time," says Jeff Richardson, Westfield Galleria at Roseville Senior General Manager. "This festival is a perfect blend of art, entertainment, and family-friendly fun, offering a truly unique and immersive experience for visitors of all ages. We look forward to welcoming guests from near and far to witness the stunning displays and celebrate the magic of light with us." The special event is open Wednesdays through Sundays now through May 25 (closed Mondays/Tuesdays) then expands to Tuesdays through Sundays from May 27 through June 22 (closed Mondays). Event hours are as follows: 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Fridays & Saturdays; 6 to 10 p.m. all other evenings.
