Cummings Bike Park in Folsom needs sponsors

City officials are looking for corporate sponsors and local businesses to support the ongoing renovation of Cummings Family Skate & Bike Park in Folsom. The ongoing renovation of the Creekside Drive public bike park will welcome riders of all ages and skill levels with progressive features that promote safe riding, outdoor recreation and community connection, officials said. "The shovel-ready project fills an important gap in Folsom's recreation offerings and supports youth engagement, environmental stewardship and healthy activity," the Folsom Auburn Trail Riders Action Coalition announced online. Elements being considered include a pump track, progressive skills zones, rollers and berms, balance features and jump lines, creating a safe, fun and challenging environment for riders of all levels, officials said. Thanks to a generous gift from Claudia Cummings and a $10,000 matching grant, the Cummings project is ready to begin this fall, staff said. Corporate sponsors and local businesses are invited to double their impact by supporting the renovation through tiered sponsorships that include signage, social media recognition and participation in the grand reopening anticipated for summer 2026. The revitalized park will require maintenance and will be steered by FATRAC volunteers in partnership with the City of Folsom Parks & Recreation Department. Folsom residents are encouraged to watch for a community fundraiser this season to help bring the new, improved park to life.
