Loomis Holiday Home Tour and Boutique moves to day hours

The 16th annual Loomis Holiday Home Tour and Boutique is Saturday, Dec. 13. The Loomis Basin Education Foundation hosts the event each year to support local schools. The day includes a holiday gift boutique featuring 30 vendors from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at H. Clarke Powers Elementary School, 3296 Humphrey Road in Loomis. Regular public tickets to view the six decorated Loomis Union School District area homes are $45, to be used between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Meanwhile, an $85 VIP ticket includes the tour and a private reception with food and drinks at 4:30 p.m. The foundation wants to note the event is no longer a nighttime view but a 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. tour throughout the day with the dusk reception. Clarke Powers also features LUSD students hosting a "Mini-Makers" Market from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Performances by the LUSD Choir, Arias to the Point Dance Studio and Del Oro High School students are scheduled for 12:15 p.m. at the Powers Gym location. All proceeds benefit the Loomis Education Foundation, which has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Loomis Unified Schools. All proceeds specifically support art and science programs in the district. H. Clarke Powers Elementary is located at 3296 Humphrey Road in Loomis.
