Support our Auburn Journal newspaper, and consider a subscription

As some of you may know, our Auburn Journal newspaper was once delivered four days a week. Now, unfortunately, it is down to twice a week. The Journal's parent company, Gold Mountain California News Media, issues newspapers which serve Placer County and all have various days of publication. Nationwide, newspapers are suffering. They have lower than normal advertisers and people are just not subscribing as in the past. I realize one can go online to various news sites, some which cost nothing, but I enjoy reading the newspaper with my morning coffee. I guess you can call me old school. My point to all this is that I hope you might consider subscribing to the community newspaper in your city. Where else would we be able to find out the myriad events that go on in our community? Also, if you have subscribed in the past and found the paper wanting, please reconsider. It has become a more inclusive, and less-biased publication. Please call 885-2471 to subscribe. Sometimes, there are special rates for those of us of a certain age. In my opinion, the threat of losing our local paper is real. Let's not be a party to its demise.
