Louise & Angelo Simone

Louise Simone (90) and Angelo A. Simone (97), devoted partners for over 60 years, passed away peacefully in October 2025, just nine days apart. Both children of Italian immigrants and Roseville natives, they graduated from Roseville High School. Louise embodied her heritage through masterful cooking, warm hospitality, and legendary "garage bar" gatherings filled with laughter. Angelo excelled as an architectural terra cotta expert at Gladding McBean, while Louise worked at Aerojet and Lawrence Livermore Lab. The couple raised their family in the Bay Area, traveled the world, and in retirement returned to Roseville—where Angelo fronted the "Discords," a band of childhood friends performing 1940s and 1950s classics. Their enduring legacy thrives through five children: Cynthia (Eddie) Plaza, Mark (Heather), Angelo (Susan), William (Sherri), and Lisa Burke; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; cherished nephew Angelo; and nieces Elaine and Marie.
