Debbie Lee Mitchell 12/04/1953 - 1/24/2026

Debbie Lee Mitchell (formerly Nesbitt) passed away peacefully on January 24th, 2026 in Auburn, CA, surrounded by loved ones. Born on December 4th, 1953, in Juneau, Alaska, Debbie lived a life defined by kindness, dedication, and a deep love for her family. She grew up in Santa Rosa, California, where she attended Piner High School. Known for her strong work ethic and unwavering devotion to others, Debbie built a remarkable 40+ year career as a Mortgage Broker and Loan Officer, helping thousands of clients and friends fulfill the dream of homeownership and achieve financial well-being. In her later years, Debbie found great joy in traveling with friends and family and was famous for hosting phenomenal, joy-filled theme parties. She brought people together effortlessly and made everyone around her feel welcome and valued. Debbie is survived by her three beloved children: Tina and her husband Eric, Ginger and her husband Jason, and Ryan and his wife Johanna, ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, her brother Keith, her sister Sally, and her "Tahoe Twelve" friend group. Debbie was a proud and loving parent and grandparent. Her family and friends were the greatest joys of her life. A celebration of life will be held on 2/21/26. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital. Debbie will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love she gave, and the legacy she leaves behind.
